Whether you need someone who can quickly turn around an article on classic cocktails or your company’s communications could use some oomph, I can help. While I specialize in food and lifestyle writing and photography (with styling!), I’ve helped many businesses — from huge glass fabricators to independently-owned shoe stores and coffee shops — do a better job of getting their message across to current and potential customers.

I’ve written, styled and photographed sponsored content for major lifestyle brands, designed promotional materials and packaging for food brands and family farms, managed social media campaigns for restaurants and large-scale events, designed websites for local restaurants and bakeries, and publicized cookbooks by world-renowned chefs.

My food and lifestyle writing has appeared in publications you’ve actually heard of (as well as many you haven’t) including The Cut, Food & Wine, Gourmet, Edible Brooklyn, and Tasting Table; and when I was 26, my first cookbook, “Casserole Crazy: Hot Stuff for Your Oven,” was published by a Penguin imprint. A few years later, my service essay on finding affordable healthcare appeared in “The Bust DIY Guide to Life: Making Your Way Through the Every Day.”

I promise to get around to building this website soon-ish. In the meantime, you can reach me at emily@sideworkstudio.com.
